The Experience
We love welcoming guests to Château de Gère and sharing our favorite things to see, do, and savor in and around the Vallée d'Ossau. Whether strolling through local villages, going to the weekly outdoor market, taking in stunning views or enjoying the neighbor's cheese with a glass of wine, we look forward to introducing you to this little slice of paradise.
The château is our home and we do our best to make you comfortable during your stay. And it does feel like a home with open spaces, shared bathrooms and family-style meals.
We offer home-cooked meals, often serving regional specialties made with fresh ingredients, locally-sourced products and veggies from the garden.
Our retreats and getaways are designed to create memorable experiences for our guests, whether your traveling solo or with friends. We aim to create a positive environment based on our core values of kindness, open-mindedness, inclusivity, respect for others and the environment and fun.

Last week was a terrific adventure- Sandy and I travelled to upgrade our language skills at an all-inclusive “French Camp” organized by Trish at Château de Gère.
Each day we had 3 hours of class with Odile, a French professor with decades of experience teaching around the world. She skillfully engaged each of us at our varying levels, and our lessons led us into the daily excursions and activities.
